Well my finals are over! Which means I’ll be back to working on comics after I manage to scoop the remains of my brain back into my head. A daunting task considering they have oozed out in a burnt up gelatinous mass. In all seriousness however, I don’t know how I did but before the finals I was at 100% in one course and 95% in the other, I’m sure I at least passed the classes. What my GPA is is another story, but we’ll see soon enough.

As for the comic, Tuesday or Wednesday I’ll have the next page ready to go! I got my tax return back, and ended up buying a convertible tablet PC with a wacom digitizer since I’ve read about a lot of people using one instead of a way, way, way out of my price range Cintiq. One day I’ll have one of those coveted pieces of technology, but until then the tablet PC looks like a great way to keep up on my drawing wherever I go. For those who’ve stuck out reading, thank you for your patience and look forward to the wind up of Chapter 1, because #2 is where things get interesting.

Just wanted to post an update that I am in the middle of finals and the comic is on hold until I am done. The good news however is that I will have a break between terms to get the buffer back up so hopefully people will stick around! College is SRS BUSINESS and I want to be able to put all my energy into doing well on my final exams.

Whew, whole slew of pages updated today. Getting closer to being caught back up so I can continue the actual pages. If you already read through once, you should scroll back to check out the updated art.

Next batch of pages updated, did color corrections and a lot of background and other tweaking. Page 6 bothered me a lot as far as the backgrounds go and I reworked a lot of it so it looks much better. Old files are still up on my DA if anyone is curious on the changes.

After working a bit on my new monitor, as previously commented, I noticed how bad and off the colors were, so before I press on I’m taking the time to go back and update the old pages. Seems kind of silly to press on with a tweaked palette, so I have finished updating pages 1-3, and will have more on the way soon.

Well I have been gone for a bit since my brother got back from Afghanistan, and is now residing on my couch. He is starting up his on photography business, and recruited me to help get him set up with a website. One of the things he did upon coming home was get me a new monitor since mine was going dim. Very dim. Until I got the new one I had no idea how dim. What this means is looking at the past pages they all look washed out, on his screen, the new one and a couple others I checked sine then. Because of this I plan to take a small break to fix and repost all the back pages. Hopefully I can get them fixed as well as the site which looks washed out as well.

Lately I have been pushing through the worst slump ever and have found myself getting caught up with life and slipping behind in nearly everything. Comics, classwork, housework… Likely it can all be linked back to the forsaken abscessed tooth I’m been coping with, but I’m trying to struggle back onto my feet again. On that note, I’ve caught up in one course, and have the next page for Spear-Frost drawn, and partly inked. Hopefully I’ll get it up this week, but to be honest it’s a bit of a doozy and I pushed myself really hard on it so I hope people enjoy it.

Until then, I do bring some comic-goodness in the form of a comic contest entry I’ve done for the game Wakfu. The grand prize is an action figure set from the animated series so I jumped on the chance hard. Here’s the link to the entry over at DA

I’m sorry to say I won’t be able to have a page this week, I’ve fallen behind on my school work a bit and need to get caught up and study for a psych test as well as work on my next English essay. Good news is the extra time will give me a chance to get the page out on time next week so look forward to it!

Well same old drill. Page is late because I had a English Essay due that was one of three for the class so is a huge chunk of my grade. Got the paper turned in with nearly 600 words over the minimum so I hope I do well. As for the page, it’s already penciled and half inked and should be up by tomorrow I hope.

Wheeew! Page done on time! Page 17 is in the buffer and itching to go up tomorrow. Don’t miss it, we’re heading out into the big dark world and seeing part of what Zenith looks like.
